Las Lajas, a farm in Sabanilla de Alajuela, Costa Rica, is run by Francisca and Oscar Chacón, who have been growing coffee for three generations. Known for their eco-friendly practices, they transitioned to organic farming in 2000 after banning agrichemicals in response to a personal tragedy. The farm now focuses on sustainable practices and produces exceptional coffee, like this Black Honey processed lot grown at altitudes of 1300-1825 meters. With a clean, candy-like sweetness and floral notes, this coffee also delivers distinct raspberry and winey flavors, making it a standout choice for those seeking a bright, well-rounded cup. SCA score: 87. Imported by 88 Graines.
