Blossom are thrilled to offer this exceptional lot, featuring the Gibirinna 74110 and Serto 74112 varieties. Originating from Ethiopia's Metu Bishari forest and selected for their resilience against Coffee Berry Disease, these varieties showcase the meticulous care in their cultivation and processing. After arriving at Sookoo’s central facility, the cherries are pulped and soaked in water for 12 hours before being laid out to dry on raised beds. This careful attention to detail in processing results in some of the most dynamic, expressive, and transparent coffees we have the honor of presenting each year.

Sookoo Coffee was founded by Ture Waji and his brother, Assefa. Located in Odo Shakiso within the Oromia region and the Guji zone, Sookoo produce coffees with cherry sourced from smallholder farmers located in the surrounding kebeles – in this case, Bookkisa. Ture Waji has historically focused on producing only naturally-processed coffees. However, having produced some washed lots from Bookkisa last year, this season is particularly exciting for us as we are able to offer them for the very first time alongside the Sookoo naturals that we know and love.
