Situated in the Huila district of Colombia, La Esmerelda is not just any farm; it's a testament to sustainable farming and innovative coffee processing. Managed by Norbey Quimbayo, who began his coffee career as a picker, this 12-hectare farm produces exquisite varietals like Gesha and Pink Bourbon. Thanks to the fertile volcanic ash soil and high altitudes, the coffee cherries flourish, undergoing a detailed 40-hour anaerobic fermentation. This detailed process results in a coffee with a smooth texture and rich undertones, perfect for those who appreciate a thoughtfully crafted brew.

From Round Hill Roastery
Norbey began his career as a coffee picker before taking on La Esmerelda in 2005 and honing his craft as a farmer. After a few years of producing commercial coffees he began to plant a range of varietals including Gesha and Pink Bourbon, quickly propelling him into the speciality markets.
