Mariano   Brazil
Produced by Ricardo Barbosa in Brazil’s Poços de Caldas volcanic region, this blend of Bourbon, Catuaí, Mundo Novo, and Tupí varietals is grown at 980m on a 200-acre family farm established in 1909. The Barbosa family produces 4,500 to 5,000 bags annually, with 20-25% graded as specialty. This year, Origin purchased nearly two-thirds of that premium yield, continuing their 12-year partnership with Fazenda Mariano - one of Origin’s longest-standing relationships.
Mariano is a soft, round-bodied coffee with indulgent, dessert-like flavors that make it a real all-rounder, great on all Brewing Methods and with enough Body to build a cracking milky brew.

From Origin Coffee
The world’s largest coffee producer, Brazil has huge influence in the global coffee market. Although producing more than a third of the world’s coffee, the growing conditions here can be challenging; producers not only have to manage the lower-than-optimal altitudes and non-volcanic soils, but also extreme climate conditions, from drought, to frost. Typically low in acidity, sweet, and heavy-bodied, Brazillian coffee is often easily distinguished and well-loved thanks to its approachable, desirable notes of chocolate and nuts.
