Familia Garcia’s farm Jaguara is located in the Campo das Vertentes region in south east Brazil. This farm was established in 2001 and devotes 72 hectares of land for coffee growing where they grow Yellow Catuai, Acaia, and Mundo Novo trees. The decision to work with Natalia & André Luiz Garcia was an easy one. They have been working alongside our close import partners Nordic Approach for the last five years so there is already an established relationship and trust in place. The family is focused on improving the living conditions of all workers and their families and are concerned about sustainability, using technologies that cause low impacts on the environment. They have adapted practices to include changes such as the use of organic matter to revitalise the coffee plantation, reducing the use of agrochemicals. Over time, the green areas were expanded, with insulation and planting trees along the springs on the farm.
