    Whenever a new coffee arrives at the shop, the first thing I do is have a little read of the label before I open it up and take a good whiff. Sometimes, I read the tasting notes and my brain just can't compute what to expect - that's exactly what happened here. I needed to grind some up and taste it to truly understand it. This washed Peruvian coffee dares to be a bit different, and I really like that.

    Maria, one of the producers of this lot, was born in Naranja and has lived there her whole life. Now aged 53, Maria has 8 children, 4 of whom still live with her. Maria first purchased her farm Trapiche 6 years ago. Totalling 2 hectares in size, Maria grows a mix of Bourbon, Typica and Pache.
