This is our fourth year sourcing with Cargo Coffee, and we're thrilled to present the latest crop from Sitio Portella, showcasing a classic Brazilian profile. Edir José de Carvalho, along with his son Thalles, manages their small farm with a commitment to quality that’s earned multiple awards in Minas Gerais. Their natural coffee processing on concrete patios includes a unique drying method, where beans are carefully turned up to 12 times daily and then layered for a 20-day drying period. This dedication resulted in high rankings in the Especialíssimo award for several consecutive years, underscoring the family's excellence in coffee cultivation.
