Here's a roastery with a mission beyond great tasting coffee. Old Spike are committed to reducing homelessness and recognise the value of reliable employment as a long term solution for this. Through their barista training academy (a joint venture with their sister company Change Please) they offer those facing homelessness tangible ways of gaining new skills before guiding them into living wage jobs within the speciality coffee industry. With 65% of all profits going back into their social mission, this is a truly sustainable enterprise creating positive change.
