A sweet swirl of chocolate and tropical fruit, this light roast from Santa Barbara, Honduras is straight-up sunshine in a cup. Jose Esteban's Pacas varietal gets the anaerobic washed treatment, dialling in smooth richness with a splash of fruity sparkle. El Plan - his hillside farm rooted in family legacy - brings the heat (and the heritage), growing coffee with care, curiosity and a little magic. From the misty heights of Santa Barbara to your mug, this one's a tropical-choco daydream that sips like a slow dance.

Coffee is a family tradition for Jose Esteban Madrid. He grew up surrounded by coffee, following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather. After receiving land from his father, Jose planted Pacas and Parainema coffee varieties on his farm, El Plan. At first, he sold his coffee on the conventional market. However, the unpredictable prices pushed him to change his approach. In 2008, his brother Franklin won the Cup of Excellence competition. This victory not only brought the Madrid family recognition but also sparked global interest in their coffee. Green buyers sought their beans from all over the world. The Cup of Excellence win was a turning point for the family, changing their coffee business for the better.
